Went out for an hour today to the frozen field in hopes it was thawed some. Last Sunday three inches plus of frozen ground. Some spots where thinner or same. But i swung away and found some coolness. Got a 1951 dog license. Couple dimes, a quarter, penny, 52 wheatie. But most interesting was a bullet and a dandy button. Would love if anyone could shed light on age of either. I havent a clue when it comes to these things. Thanks for any info anyone has 7E28D965-CB48-436C-9BF8-5853E246EFF1.jpeg 2325100A-9986-476C-9A64-4B34BC70290F.jpeg D8E986AB-0AF2-46C1-B3A3-14877915BA6F.jpeg B69D5C19-93F3-4D20-A603-39FDB4B01945.jpeg

That button has to be very old by the appearance of the shank. I have never sen before that type of bullet.

That button is a real nice one and keeper for sure. The bullet doesn’t look too old to me. Nothing near the age of the button. JMO.

I love the button, it is hard finding big 1700's buttons like that with a nice design on them. The bullet is also pretty cool, it dates from the "Indian Wars" era (1870's for that type of bullet), according to the internet. Congrats on the very cool finds!

I love finding buttons. They are so personal. Coins are worth more but there's something about buttons and buckles.

Very cool old button.
The bullet looks like a wad cutter.
I have dug so many of those.
These are great rounds for target practice due to the hole they leave in the target.
