Been hunting the 80 acre field for a year and finally some silver

Hello to all.
I never start finding good coins until I have hunted the place nearly dry. This place yielded a few wheat ears, a couple of V nickles, one indian head and finally a mercury all afraid and alone. Will see if i can find some of her buddies as the field is cut close with mud showing too. Have about 13 civil war bullets so im hunting that half dime. The merc was in the top 3 inches, but has a plow scrape on her backside. Only three silvers this year. The hundred year old button was nice too. To hot for a coat down here, about 60 and rainy this week. Merry Christmas to all.

When I hunt fields around here and get away from the old house sites it's pretty clean. You can walk forever without getting a signal. Need bigger coils! Gary

Thanks to all for the kind words. The silver was 30 yards from the closest house place so it was an isolated find. Put some flagging tape there and will return when the weather dries up. Maybe there are some more. A friend from nearby found a jar of silver coins a few years back elsewhere. Surely that could happen more than once.
