    outstanding find! It would be interesting to know how many people cast their own vs bought them back in those times. The fact that your mold has a makers mark is really telling and significant! Congrats!

    Considering all the lead ingots and such i find at sites. I would say most made there own lead items like bullets

    Put it in a bench vise,just tight enough to hold it, and slowly heat it up.as you heat it have somebody slowly tighten the vise.if you do it without heat it could crack.
