I gotta say. This was a very pleasant way to start my 2019.

Long time since I've seen such a nice reminder of the olden days.

2019-01-01-18-54-44.jpg

I think this might be old silver. None of the metal parts are magnetic. The tiny ring thing? No clue.

2019-01-01-18-56-55.jpg 2019-01-01-18-58-17.jpg

But ahhh yes! This is my personal star of the day! Even found it OTWBTTC. Been a *VERY* long time since I've found one! And believe I see a date! Even rarer, that!

2019-01-01-19-01-43.jpg

Look close but I believe I see a 3 in there! :headbang:

How's *THAT* for a begining!?!? :occasion18:

Hope everybody's New Year's was a safe and happy one.

Okydoke, the year is started!

Thanks again for peeking !

Awesome start to the new year!
Congrats!

Now there is the old silver! A SLQ, with a readable date no less! And a musket ball, now thats getting down to another level.

Blingie has more bling than he can carry. Fishy is on the fast track with his new ride, and mascot.

That is a sweet start to the year. I hope it only gets better and better for you!

.....told ya 😁

Thanks folks! It really is a very nice way to start my year!

I may attempt a bit of cleaning because I'm pretty sure I see a 3 in it. Any SLQ with a 3 doesn't appear to be a numismatic rarity.

Maybe a little 60 grit sandpaper? What y'all think?

you are setting the bar pretty darn high right out of the chute!

Pace yourself, and find only one cool thing....every hour...

Nice job.

SLQ and Bracelet too! Is the "tiny ring thing" you are referring to the watch battery in front of the frog? Great way to start 2018, Whadi, keep it up. Sub 8-)

Sorry for the confusion. The lil "battery" looking thing is actually some sort of decorative snap or something. The "ring" thing was sort of tucked under part of the bracelet. Looked like part of it. :dontknow:

Happy New Year Dr. Sub ole pal!

Oh! And congrats on the first mistaking of which year it is. :tongue3:

I'm curious as to what the stones are in the settings - nice looking !

I'm afraid I haven't a clue. :dontknow:

Is there a particular angle of view that would help anyone to attempt an ID ?

They all seem flat on the back and completely open for light to shine thru.

Ground is frozen here and Whadi is tearing it up down South!!!

No , no 60 grit!NO,no ,no... Baking soda bath or electrolysis if you are not going to sell it ,and don't mind altering its patina.

Some folks associate frogs with health. In fairness ,they are environmental health indicators.
Thought it was an otter or something at first . (?)
Congrats on a great mix.
One of those nickles looks like it was holed? Interesting.
