I remember those as a kid, we had a two party line, so you had to watch what you said, because someone could be listening.

We had a party line. My Parents, Grandparents...and "Martina"...the old woman who was always on the phone. I remember talking to my friends as a kid with the constant third party breathing in the background. Whenever my Grandmother needed to make a call she would just pick up the phone and say "Martina"....and there was an instant "OK BYE" on the other end...lol

Oh yes! I remember flying to Seattle in the early 60’s and my relatives had push button phones. I thought oh my, so advanced. That is a nice find.

Phone calls were 20 cents at on point 15 cents people would toss a quarter in and the phone company literally made billions on the extra 5 cents

Yeah you right, now your area is starting to get like the Southshore, so you need to move on up here towards "God's Country", we don't have all that traffic and people crowding in on you up here... "D"
