    Would it be a safe guess that where there is a hem weight there could be silver? What years were hem weights used?Click image for larger version.

    Nice finds! The hem weight is probably not silver, but lead or some other base metal.

    I know the hem weight is lead. I figure where they are found you could also find silver?
