First silver of 2019 - a hat trick

The ground has been pretty frozen around here, so I went into a pine forest the other day where there used to be a campground. I had been there before and usually found some coins from the 1940's and up. While I knew I wouldn’t find anything real old, I was pretty sure I would find something, and at least I would be able to dig into the soft forest floor. Sure enough, I dug some clad, some highly corroded wheat pennies, and three Roosevelts — 1948, 1962, and 1964. The 1962 and 1964 were actually in the same hole — I am glad I double checked it! While not particularly special coins, it’s always fun to find silver. On the way out, I checked a pine strip closer to the road, as I thought there used to be a house nearby in the mid-1800s. It was a long shot and I was coming up with nothing, when I got an iffy signal. It was about six inches down, so I knew I had to dig it. I am glad I did, because out popped a large flat button. It is just over an inch in diameter and has no markings. The shank is broken, and looks like it was on a raised area. If anyone has any guesses on the age, I would be most grateful. I have only dug a few buttons, and this seems to be the biggest one I have found. Thanks for looking!

. Thanks for the insights. Here is another picture of the back, and a profile picture to show the mound the shank loop would have been on. (I don't know the proper button terminology ... sorry!)
