I headed out late this morning. The first couple of spots were no good.

I decided to swing by yesterday’s spot to give it another shot. It’s a Smittyman permission, I called him but he couldn’t attend.

I found a bunch of these yesterday. Maybe a dozen during the 2 days. I can not figure out how so many of these got in the 1 acre front yard of a house built in 1957. Gas station bathroom condom foil packs!

On to the coins. I convinced myself that a gold ring was bound to be in that grass somewhere. I dug about 25 pull rings, and found 6 Jefferson nickels in the process. No gold ring though.

Three wheaties showed up today.

It wasn’t too long before I stumbled upon a nice high tone. When I pulled the plug out a silver dime was just laying there.

I found a Washington quarter next, I got excited and didn’t get any pictures.

I was up by the road, and got one of those “can bottom” hits, big, high and shallow. It sounded good, but aluminum cans always do.

I pulled the plug out and couldn’t believe my eyes. I knew as soon as I saw the fat reeded edge that some careless person had lost a silver half dollar.

This is the 17th silver half dollar I’ve found in 5 years of detecting. It’s still a big thrill to me.

Here are the 3 silver coins that I found today. It was a very good for me. Thanks Smittyman.

Congrats on having a 3 silver day Tom. I love the BF. Ya gotta love it when a screamer turns out to be a big silver and not part of a can.

Thanks man. I was astonished when I saw it in the hole. Half the keepers at the site were not very good signals, this signal was way too good, so I was sure it was some nonsense. I’m still smiling. Good luck brother.

I missed this on Tnet but seen it on "Charlie's thread" we all ended up with some good finds that day. That particular Sunday was good to all the "boys of bramble" I'll always remember my first Franklin Half, that was the very first silver coin I hit at my "lake" spot.
Congrats Brother!
