Went out to the property where I found the old cast net weight and started going slow in that area. Found the lead bale seal and knew there were more relics nearby. Then popped out the rivet and a few minutes later got the button. Thought it was Civil War since it didn’t have an iron back to it. When I got home I looked up the backmark and the company was founded in the 1870s. Dang. I’m still hopeful I’ll find an early site here. Only scanned over about an acre out of 140 I’ve got access to. Holding out hopes for a colonial housesite or a CW camp. Enjoy!
