Today was the first nice day we have had in a while, so I headed back to the property I recently got permission to hunt. Last time, I hunted the woods, but today I ventured closer to the house.

Aside from the normal trash and bits & pieces, here are my finds for the day!

1970 Quarter............. 1969 Penny........ 1983 Nickel......... AND THE KILLER FIND OF THE DAY: a 1980 1 OUNCE of FINE GOLD Krugerrand from South Africa
1971 Quarter .............1975 penny........ VA 280 Seal ........ I had never heard of this coin before, so I took it to my jeweler friend who verified it is in fact gold.
1979 Quarter............. 1976 Penny ...................................My heart is still pounding!
1981 Quarter............. 1980 Penny
................................1983 Penny

In case I missed anyone previously, I just want to thank all the members who made all the great comments, gave me banner votes, and "liked" my finds. Whether it is banner worthy or not I don't know, but this is a special find for me and has a home on the shelf right above my computer. Thanks again everyone .. you all are the best! :occasion14:

Thanks Rusty! I think I would cry if I had to melt this one down:crybaby2: Hopefully it will go to one of my kids when I croak.

Hi, oh wow awesome gold coin you found:notworthy::occasion14: Congrats. Cant even imagine the travel history behind that Kruger gold coin and how it ended up there by you. The gold Kruger Rand and Kruger Pound is one of my top bucket listers i am still looking for here in South Africa. Its very hard finding those gold coins.
