YES at my local Walmart in the "reject" chute of the big GREEN counting machine, sitting on edge near the lip of the chute & almost didn't see it.
Only 1 coin 1946 but worth it a "first year issue" dime - SWEET - I Love this Hobby of "looking" & "digging" for old coins & relics....HAPPY HUNTING & Good Luck, my Friends!....BILL

PS - It was our grocery day and I found the SILVER 1946 laying in the reject tray when we came in and as we were shopping I saw a person using the machine & a few minutes later as we were checking out & leaving the store I looked again and in the reject chute "behold" there were 4 more clad dimes that looked like new - 2 of them dated 1981-P, one 1998-D & one 2011-D that I "added" to the SILVER. The person using the machine was not around, as I would have gladly returned them.....just saying.

Nice silver score, congrats:icon_thumright:
Thanks for your comment.....I forgot to mention that my first silver coin in 2019 that I found with my detector was also a "Roosie" but it was a 1947-D.

Very nice.

Back in the 60's I got friendly with the girls at the theater we visited often and found lots of war nickles.

Always good.

In these days of credit cards and electronic currency, there are fewer people who use coins much less look at them for gems like the one you found. Congrats!

That's a great find and probably had your heart skippin' a beat. I've recovered one silver in the reject slot and several others on another occasion from inside the machine when it was opened. Showed my wife both times, but still can't get her to look in the machines!! So, I gladly go grocery shopping with her........yeah, she's no dummy!!
