Still producing a lot of clad quarters from this School that was built in 1966......So, was not expecting any silver. This SECOND time hunting I am still in "Stage or Phase 1" looking for high tone VDI targets of 81-83 on my White's MX5 to finish off a couple of areas that I had not hunted. Found 41 quarters and only 2 dimes, a total of 43 coins with a $total of $10.45. The next "phase" and time there will hunt for lower tones digging nickels & dimes & pennies. In the picture below you will see some additional coins that I found after leaving the School & going to an older Park that I have hunted numerous times and hunting in "Phase 2" there, I found 2 quarters, 3 dimes & 9 pennies 2 which were "wheat cents" dated 1951-D & a 1958, but I was only there about 30 minutes. Total hunt for today of 57 coins with a $total of $11.34.
GOOD LUCK & Happy Hunting to ALL.

All I can say is...you dig a lot of coins! Almost 11k in one year? That is incredible to me. I'm tired just thinking about digging all those holes. Nice going!

The clad does add up.
Hey, Trezurehunter......Yes, the clad DOES add up, but not if a person is ONLY digging pennies - which I soon realized after I could no longer go 8 to 10 hours hunting and NOW find myself only going 3 to 5 hours of "getting up & down" on every target. The "key" is to get maximum $ amount in clad and that means targeting the QUARTERS & dimes FIRST to limit the # of "up & downs" and YES, I have reduced my overall total of coins per hunt - BUT increased my $ total of clad. For example (as previously noted) so far this year 2019 total coin count is 1,213 - but 602 of them are quarters almost 1/2 of the total. And 341 dimes with ONLY 260 of the 1,213 were pennies. HAPPY HUNTING everyone.

P.S. I was born & raised in Illinois in the "Peoria/Knox/Fulton" county areas. I loved one of YOUR previous threads, while being in Illinois, where YOU returned a wallet to a FLORIDA man that had lost it along a roadway in Illinois. NICE return. Was that near the "area" I mentioned above?
