Friday I got a chance to go back to the scout camp. It was overcast and it showered some, but I did ok. I ended up with 174 coins farce value $11.87, 62 large tent pegs, an assortment of other miscellaneous finds. Of course at a scout camp you always dig chunks of melted aluminum that vary in the signal you get, but they usually sound like a coin or a ring. I really wish people would not put foil from their βtin foil dinnerβ or aluminum cans in the fire. When the ashes from the fire build up they get spread around in the woods and if you are cleaning up and digging all the promising targets you end up with a pocket full of the aluminum nuggets. Just one of those annoying things like tabs and can slaw.
The finds pictured below include aluminum rope tensioners, 2 Webelos slides and an older cub slide, a LIVE 44 magnum shell, the top part of a cub Catholic religious reward, a token, assorted sinkers, and the top part of an aluminum ring with PEACE on it.
Another good day at camp. Nothing super special, but lots of clad and some interesting finds. Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.
