Found a lot of neat finds from several hunts from 2 different properties, Most of the items came from what im guessing is a house site near an early 1800s well (Which I am digging out, updates on another post)
Finds from first lot include:
1800s (I think) ceramic bottle lip
Civil War bullet
2 Skeleton keys
broken utensil handle
1907 indian head penny
Mcdouglass pipe fragment
And from the house site near the well:
Early 1800s (I think) pottery shards (the crockery/dark brown ones)
Some pieces to a vase and other item (Yellow and then the blue pottery shards with designs)
Skeleton Key lock plate
Somewhat small knife blade
Not sure if the bigger item is a knife, seems a bit thick, but definitely gets skinny near the end and comes to a point (is rather heavy as well)
A rather neat find was a "Saint Christopher Protect Us" Pocket token (not sure the token age) screwed to a hinge.
Also found what im guessing is a small letter opener.
Im assuming there were 2 houses near the well from different eras. As there is a layer of gravel near the well. Some items are found mixed in with the gravel layer or ontop of the gravel layer, while some of other older items (like the early 1800s pottery) are found much deeper below the gravel layer. Im assuming also the gravel layer is the house foundation or something of that nature.
Any corrections on the ages of what I found, or what they even are is greatly appreciated!
