Went out for a quick hunt on Sunday at a site that has produced well in the past. Only one good find this trip, and it is a bucket list coin for me. Iโ€™ve found 4 Walker and 1 Kennedy Silver halves, but never a Barber, yeah finally!

Also found what seems like a grave in what would have been the backyard of the farmhouse. Iโ€™m thinking maybe it is a beloved pet or farm animal?

Then made it out for a rare after work hunt and met up with Steve of PA at a an old farmstead in the park woods nearby. We found a few Barber dimes and IHPs, so not a bad quick hunt.
Here is a pic of a nice greenie IHP.

An interesting note, the 1888 IHP was stuck to the 1909 Wheat in the hole.
Here are the relics.

Center top is the spout from the powder flask I dug on Saturday.

It was about 5โ€™ away from where the flask pieces where found.

The wick adjuster didnโ€™t have a patent date, but thought it was cool nonetheless.

Good luck out there!

You did well last night popping those two Barber dimes in fairly quick succession. Congrats on completing your powder flask by locating the top. And big congrats on your first barber half. You have managed to do pretty well at that spot despite all the modern trash laying around. I told you last night that I had found 3 Barber halves over the years, Here is the second one I found. Note the date and mint mark...LOL.

Thx John! My last 4 silvers have been Barbers, hoping the next ONE DIME flip is Seated.
