I found this ring and debated wether to get it appraised or not. I finally decided to do so because of curiosity. I really wasn’t expecting this so imagine my surprise. Looks like I might be able to get some waterproof headphones and some other needed gear after I sell it :laughing7: Thanks for looking and good luck out there.

Always dig pulltabs and bottlecaps. They pretend they are gold and gold hides near them.

Very nice ring, but that appraisal won't do you any good if you try to sell it. To get a real value, take it to a couple of jewelry and/or pawn shops and see what they offer you. I bet it is a whole lot less that one half your "appraisal".

Awesome and very pretty! My brother has found several diamond rings. Be very careful who you take it to. He has taken several of his rings to pawn shops who told him his diamonds were worthless to them. They would only give him the money for the gold content. Said they would throw the diamonds away. Not sure what to think about that!

We are not talking about diamond chips either.

So, an appraisal is dumb, a waist of time but taking it to a pawn shop is the smart thing to do :icon_scratch:

I would never take anything worth any money to a pawn shop, I have seen and heard about so many people getting screw over. I bought a diamond tester since I have no clue about diamonds and didn’t want to take any chances. Now with this appraisal I can sell for more then the gold value I would’ve gotten offered or I can keep the ring and insure it. I hope your brother is still finding some nice rings and selling them elsewhere. HH

No pawn shops for me. Thanks for the kind words Tommy, I hope that new detector is treating you good. HH

Congrats on finding such a nice Gold and Diamonds ring! I agree, never take it to a Pawn Shop. You could try shopping it around to some reputable Jewelry Shops but even they will likely not pay you anywhere near what you could get for it online. You could try selling on the venue we all love to hate or try Craigslist and/or Facebook Marketplace. If the latter two, make sure you meet with the Buyer in a restaurant or other location with lots of folks around to ensure of your safety
