a fun spring so far--- rain nearly every day, got a new hip to replace the recalled defective hip mid- February... then spent Easter Sunday getting emergency surgery on small intestine,----- so diggin' has been a luggzury (as they say in the overpriced imported car commercials)----
no better place on one of the very rare nice days than a return to the 1600 Colonial farm to scope the fields. one was recently disced, so bare ground was bountiful and the rains did a nice scrubbing of the terra unfirma:happysmiley:

as I gimp onto the neat furrows, I look down.... Lordy---- I say to myself--"self, is that a partially covered point ??"------ YUPPPPP:icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:---
as I extract it from the soil--- a notched tail appears-- 1ST of this shape for me.
torn between the Excelsior Toed Stemmed, Sylvan Lake, Lamoka, or the Sleightsburg.

found on border of city of Kingston and the Town of Ulster, Ulster County, NY

details are: L= 41MM, W= 22MM, thickness= 7.6MM, base= 17MM, material is Chert or flint, greenish grey color, age= 4,000 to 5,500 years---- and that..... is all I got for my 2 hours of swingin'

I used to know my NY flint but it's been too long. Onandaga, Normanskill, Deepkill. I'll dig my samples out and see if I can ID it. Gary
