I thought that might be the idea. My mother has been telling me about how much she wants to find and restore one, but the ones I find I usually out in the middle of nowhere, so not that easy to get home.

The can of old insulators is neat too. I bet a lot of them are about 100 years old. If you can get some manufacturers marks off any of them, I might be able to put a date on some of them.

I’ve got some interesting ones, I’ll send you some pictures soon! I found an old dump where there were a few interesting porcelain electric pieces, thank you!

My Grandparents adobe garage was about the same also. He was a railroader, lots of junk metal! You all would get a kick out of the pictures of my sheds

Me too! There is not too much old stuff around the old ghost towns left. I can’t imagine all the stuff that was taken out of these old buildings up here in the 60s and 70s. Once in a while someone will do a big clean out, and rare things start to appear.

I wouldnt mind seeing your sheds, just wish I was there in beautiful Victor to see in person! And if they're whole and look like they may have some age on it, save them and I might be able to find some info on them. I find lots of insulators here in Arizona, and a lot of them have turned out to be much older than I expected they were. And the old ones are neat because this is the early pioneer age of electricity we are talking about, and people like myself do collect them.

Insulators are fun to collect but they take up space. I have about 30 glass ones in the shop, and have had some nice ones go through my hands. Here are some porcelain ones, and 2 from the shop. Click image for larger version.
