    Port Huron pin

Me and a friend have been detecting an old home site off and on for a few months now. It seems to always give up something interesting. Pretty stingy on coins but has been good for little relics. I found what I think is a pin that is from the Port Huron B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 343. There is a lot of detail on it for as small as it is. (Slightly larger than a half dollar). Looks like nickel plated brass. I love finding unusual things like this. From Michigan but found in California. Can anyone put a date to it?Click image for larger version.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

I sent them an e-mail and a message on their Facebook page but no response. Most people that don't detect look at something like this and consider it trash.

Nice find! The st. Clair tunnel opened in 1891. I would guess your pin isn’t much younger than that.

Killer find!, the odd shape makes me think it might be a watch fob with the top broken off.
    What's the back look like?
    Kudos!
