Hello my friends !
A sword dating back to the period of migration, avar (8th-9th centuries), or most probably from the Arpadian dynasty (9th-11th centuries), quite well preserved, found away from the inhabited areas near an old road passing over the wooded hills. Fortunately, in the ground where the bottom of the sword was, after looking carefully, were found also the fragments from the sword handle. I would describe the discovery as important because there are few such weapons discovered in my country at that time. Certainly the old roads of forested heights were the ways in which migratory populations went to the transylvanian plain.
Enjoy ! :hello:

Very nice! Think about this.. back then if you dropped your sword you were in some deep trouble unless you had a lot of money.

That is a very rare find and I would say banner worthy. Old European swords are rarely found because they rust away into pieces. This is really amazing!
