Had a great couple of hunts on the week-end and finally managed to find time to write a post. Found not one but two bucket lister items, both in a very good shape.

A colonial wax seal has eluded me for a few years. Super happy with this one and glad that the fragile glass or crystal part was undamaged.

Strangely, found a piece from an other seal the next day on a hunt in a completely different area.

Got an other bucket lister on Sunday's hunt. I have made a post about the coin two days ago, after the hunt.

An other interesting item was what I believe to be US Patriotic saddle shield from Civil War period. Unfortunately couldn't find much online.

Got a few nice coins.
An absolutely huge ( around 18 gr.) One Penny 1837 in a great shape.

What an amazing hunt you had Anton! :occasion14:
In my opinion, the wax seal is definitely a BANNER find!

Love the 1820 'holed' Harp Penny, looks to be an original, as opposed to one of the later re-strikes.
The cuff link and the buttons aren't too shabby either!

My BANNER vote is in for your wax seal find,
Dave

I can't believe how much American coins you find here in NS. I mainly find British and Canadian colonial bank tokens among my older finds. Only with relics do I find American items.

Thanks Dave. I'm not very familiar with Harp token varieties but this one looked different from the others I have found in the past. That wax seal is one of my favorite finds of 2019. Thanks for your vote :icon_thumright:

Actually I hunt mostly in Quebec. We have more American coins than probably any other province. But I wish I could find as many French relics and coins as you guys find in Atlantic Canada.

Thanks man.

Just wanted to add here Anton. The piece you found and matching the wax seal reminds me the part from antique spinner watch fob. When you google it similar ones will show up.

Yes, it's a same principle. It would contain a rotating two sided variety.
