Being Memorial Day Weekend, I wanted to post this World War 1 uniform button I found even though I dug it a couple weeks back in the front yard of a home just up my street.

I like to try to imagine the stories my finds could tell me if they could talk. In this case, I picture the soldier returning home from the war getting wrapped up with a BIG HUG by either Mom, Wife, Children, etc. and the button popped off and I found it 100 plus years later.

Thank you to all our Vets, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice to make us a free country. If you see a Vet this weekend, stop him, shake his hand and thank him for his service.

Very nice. It's always nice to find military items, especially the buttons.
