    Coppers, buttons,relics

    Got out today and found two kg11s and a fox strap guide. Got part of a dog or fox head gun side plate. And a weight. Any ideas of age of weight?

    Wow, you are on the "old!" That weight appears to be 1600's-1700's IMHO, but someone like Crusader with a much better knowledge of such things will let you know for sure! Sub

    Really great relics! The weight you found looks like some sort of coin weight. In Bill Dancy's Discovering Virginia's Colonial Artifacts, Bill mentions finding a coin weight bearing XS for ten shillings. Yours with XXS could be a 20 shilling coin weight.
