Token, Gyro thingy, Relics, Silver #24 & Mystery Item

My hot spots have been slowing down, so just did a few short hunts at my old local park.



The Nox does a great job with the midtones, this 1890 -1910 token was a solid 17.


This signal sounded like a silver quarter, thinking it is a toy gyroscope?




It’s been 5 weeks since I’ve seen a silver coin in the hole, perfect 1:4 ratio silver coins to wheats this year at 24:96.


Here is the mystery item? Funky key hole?



A perfect turquoise earring popped out as well, not old, but I’ll take it.

Nice finds! That Kirkbride & Sanford token has me confused a bit. The company was in Pittsburgh, but does the Mansfield on it indicate they were also in the city of Mansfield, or was there a township or community named that in the Pittsburgh area? In any event, that token is neither listed in Aqua's PA tokens book nor on tokencatalog. Could you please post it on the latter? Or, with permission to use your pics and the diameter, I could do it.

Interesting Token Thad. Did you know that Mansfield became Carnegie in 1894 when Andrew Carnegie built one of his libraries there?
Carnegie is named after Andrew Carnegie, who donated one of his libraries for the gesture.[SUP][5][/SUP] It was incorporated on March 1, 1894 from the boroughs of Chartiers and Mansfield (separated by Chartiers Creek).[SUP][6][/SUP] Later, the borough annexed part of Robinson Township (now Rosslyn Heights). Neighborhoods include Rosslyn Heights, Cubbage Hill, Irishtown, Forsythe Hill, Library Hill, and Old Mansfield.

Thx Steve! I was not aware of the name change history. Makes sense though as I did some research on this Dry Goods Company and found some references to it being in Carnegie and some in Mansfield. I thought they had a couple locations.
