That would make one nice detecting vehicle. Here's link to one for sale in Norcross, Ga.

I really don't know. I guess it's some serious dinero. He told me he traded two Zundapp KS750 in for the Kettenkrad. Looks he is not a poor man with having a Schwimmwagen (the German amphibious vehicle) too. A Schwimmwagen is a 6 digit car....

They were used for everything and all between. My dad had them in their unit towing aircrafts around on the base and later AA Guns.

Cycletrader can no longer support visitors from Europe.

Sometimes i hate the things the european community does with the citicens...

The original idea for them was to fit inside transport aircraft and to be used to tow field artillery guns like the PAK 38 and PAK 40 to support the Fallschirmjager (Airborne) divisions. But German soldiers adapted them to all manner of uses in the field. I've always thought they were one of the coolest vehicles ever made, maybe when I win that big lottery jackpot I'll buy one
"That's me, on the beach side combing the sand, metal meter in my hand, sporting a pocket full of change"...... NOFX

I collect military relics, mainly German and American, but interested in others as well, pre 1945 .. Always interested in adding to my collection

Now that's a nice ride ! Would be great to have one of those on the farm. A little more nostalgic than the ATV's of today.

Nice story/pics Lu. I like the dog. You've left all of us hanging. Did you find the coins before being so rudely interupted? Good luck.
