Hey folks!

Okay, I didn’t exactly take zoology 401 in college but I know buffalo aren’t nocturnal. However, how you do explain that the last several buffs I’ve found have all been at night or around sunset? Hmm? [emoji23]

Talked to a couple neighbors this morning and got permission to do some detecting down the block. I finished up dinner and got out for 1.5 hours. The first permission was a little bigger and I managed a couple tax tokens, then a couple 44-S Wheats and the surprise 36-D buff at only 2 inches deep.

Then I went to the other little permission I got which had very few signals. Lucky for me, one was silver! A 57-D Rosie. Nothing too fancy but it’s my 50th silver coin on the year. I’m a bit behind last year’s pace but to be fair, I was detecting at an unsustainable rate last year (at least for a young married guy with a job and a semblance of a social life lol).

Well, thanks for entertaining my posts as always. Good luck out there and happy hunting all!

pretty cool, sometimes it is what it is, kind of like the tax tokens LOL, buffs and silver are similar, they can pop up in unexpected places or not at all. life can be quite busy but you have done quite well, congrats

Maybe you're finding the buff's at night because that's when you're detecting!:laughing7:

Haha thanks! I think I’m just too damn determined haha. I don’t like quitting until I’ve found some silver if I can help it.

Keen observation [emoji6]

That is definitely the case. However, I haven’t found one during a midday hunt in a while. Just saying!!
