Hi all.
Went to a beach in a town about 10 miles down the coast yesterday (Carpinteria ,CA). Haven't hit it much because i only have a motorcycle and theres ample beaches closer. Its not to big. Maybe a mile and a half long. Half is by the town the other is a state beach (open to detecting).
So my detecting buddy Dan and i got there around 9:00 am. He headed in front of the state beach and i headed in front of the city. I walked the towel line to the end of the beach. Nada , zip , nothing. Zig zaged back and found 13 cents. Dan and i met in the middle and this time he headed by the town and i headed to the state beach. Walked the towl line to the end. Nada , zip , nothing. This was starting to look like a bust. Was zig zagging back when i finely got a good signal.
BAM . 925 silver bracelet ! Heavy too.

Back to our meeting point and found nothing else. So it was brake time. After some snacks we headed to a little nook of the beach that had a couple volley ball courts. I took three steps from our snack spot when i got a strong signal and BAM ,dug another silver bracelet.

I found another 50 cents after that. Dan scored a whole $1.40.
Two silver bracelets in one day ! I'll take that !

Nice job!
Are all the beaches open for detecting in S.B. area?
We are staying there for a couple of days last part of Aug. and thinking about smuggling my detector in the car.

Yep ! All the city beaches are open. Theres some private beaches down the coast in the Monticeto area but their marked. Just stay below the high tide line there. But theres a couple miles of city beach just begging to be hunted ! Between the pier and harbor is a hot spot. BUT DONT TELL ANYONE !
