1850's French Rococo miniature brass frame

I am working an 1800's schoolhouse here on the banks of the Mississippi in New Orleans. I popped this out yesterday and thought it was pretty cool. I was very impressed that the bevelled glass survived (although I scratched it). Hopefully, this is an omen of things to come!

I found a pretty similar one here on the net..

If anyone knows anything else about this piece, please share..Also, anyone in the New Orleans/Northshore area, I am new in town and looking for hunting partners..

That is a great looking find. Much more interesting than a button or old coin, although I love old coins. ;D
