I was involved in building a house with my bud up until 5pm and I probably got started on the hunt about 6. Worked till well after dark and was just tired of digging. I parked my Model A right behind the house I have permission on. I had my extra machine with me and the occupant of the house was interested in digging so I was showing him the 5 cent tour of the Tracker IV. I tuned it where nickels would just grunt on tone and would hit in disc and all metal. We stayed close to each other because we were sharing my pin pointer. I told him to dig anything that beeped in ll three ranges on the tracker. I had my ATpro and was going at it all metal. Let me tell you, I've never seen so many targets. I was trying to run him thru a ground test with different coins and showing him what to listen for and also showing what numbers I was reading. I couldn't set the pro down where it didn't signal something else. I bet we didn't cover 50 square feet in 3 hours. I'll be clearing out the trash for a long while but the targets are there. Picked up 6 coins right at testing the machines. Wandered 5 feet, and hit multiple signals. Trash mixed with coins...2 more. My buddy got a good hit to my right and I got one 10 feet away. He says "Charm" Ok! I dig mine and out pops this huge medallion. Bout crapped when it came out sparkling gold colored.....alloy...hmmmm! Still cool. Didn't have my good camera so the only pics on site were with my phone and well it's a phone. Got a couple of old forks..silver plated and no monogram. Got some firearm related materials that were expected. I had read some newspaper story that they had shooting matches out there behind the hotel. I think I found the area they shot from and probably out toward the lake..no spent bullets, just cases and shotshell headstamps and a full 32 WCF round. Somebody care to give a shot at the odd brass object. Hate to say it but it kinda looks like a speculum. Found some clad. One wheatie 56D. I'll be back. Haven't touched it yet. Enjoy. We were dumping trash every 15 minutes cause the sack got uncomfortable..but I'll take it. There's going to be good stuff coming from here. Enjoy!

This is the odd brass thing...and clearer pix of the "charm" I was thinking Boy Scouts or Cub Scouts related but their stuff usually is marked. The only writing seen on this is USA on the back. Pretty cool...bear on an arrowhead!

Good ID Qball! Found an AA token with the written side. Still haven't seen one with the same figure but believe you are correct. Thanks!

I'll be pulling lots of junk I suppose but that's the way it goes on most old sites. It doesn't appear anybody has been over it. I usually don't "cherry pick" but I did last night. So many targets, so little time...:laughing7:
Some areas the finds are really deep. Mark told me that there has been some fill in some places but not all. I was still getting signals all over. After the first hour, I was only digging 70s and above. Haven't touched the place at all. Didn't get 50 feet from where I parked. Never hit anything close to the hotel foundation. Took one line straight to the lake and found a picnic area where the forks turned up. I'll be going back regularly. I also got another permission in this deal for another spot that was once one of the pioneer family's original homesteads where another house was built later. At one time it was a camping area cut up into lots and now vacant. She said she owns from street to street and I could hunt it all.
Thanks for the comments all! I'll be back.
