Relic Hunting
Didn't make a new post for a couple of weeks due to the combination of laziness and busy schedule. Managed to get out a few times since my last post with some cool relics and coins.

My favorite military relic came out of the ground in an absolutely horrible shape. I was almost certain that there's nothing to be done to fix it, to the point that I carried it in my car for a few days without even taking a second look. Luckily, with a help from a friend I managed to straighten it up and am very satisfied with the result.

My first ''Albert'' British shako from 1830's-1850's Here are the before and after pics

The center piece is missing but I have found an other piece a few weeks ago at the same spot. I doubt they went together but it does look pretty good.

And here's a similar shako from the same period.

Found an other British ''Horn'' shako from 1830's (sixth one from that spot)

20190904_172447.jpg

An other Lion's head device

20190904_172546.jpg

A few possible military volunteer buttons from 1830's-1850's

20190828_162533 - Copie.jpg

British militia officer's button 1850's

20190901_174913 - Copie.jpg

British 15th regiment of foot from the same period

20190830_161915.jpg

Got an other anthropomorphic clay pipe. Only my second one in 5 years of detecting

20190825_111514.jpg 20190825_111543.jpg

Almost mint 1837 Lower Canada Halfpenny (Banque du Peuple type)

20190907_093142.jpg 20190907_093153.jpg

An other one of the City Bank type

20190907_092953.jpg 20190907_092942.jpg

A beat Civil War token

20190901_185006.jpg 20190901_184959.jpg

Bank of Montreal token 1842

20190904_172616.jpg 20190904_172600.jpg

A few early civilian buttons (a bone back is the first one for me)

20190907_173427.jpg 20190907_173431.jpg 20190823_173700.jpg

And an old medicine bottle

Thanks BLK HOLE. I believe it was a military camp in early to mid 1800's

Great finds and good repair job on the plate. The piece you've matched it up with definitely isn't a match as the round portion is actually an ear boss I believe.

Thanks ColonialDude. No, as I have mentioned it's not really a match. Can you show me an me example of ear boss, not really sure what it is.
