It was a good day yesterday, left the boat, hit the bottom and found the ring- first signal of the day ! The next 75 signals were old fishing sinkers and the lock. About 2 foot visibility until you started to dig then it was almost zero.

I like to take close up pictures to get as much detail as possible (I am no photographer). You wouldn't be able to fit it on your pinky. Not big at all.

Love the old class rings!! Nice save !! I wonder if it has the owners initials. I know most I find dated that far back rarely do.

may be small but she's a chunker!!! What an amazing find. Any initials engraved on the inside? It's always fun to research personalized items. Sweet lock too!

Nice old class ring. I assume it is a woman's ring. Have you identified the school? SLA? Staten something (Ladies?) Academy?

Found 2 schools abbreviated SLA but there must be more. Also ruled out Symbionese Liberation Army of Patty Hearst fame...

South Lancaster Academy in MA changed its name in 1922, so likely not it. Shining Light Academy in NC did not begin for another 3 decades, so definitely not it.

I'm thinking more local would be higher probability. Not going to ask where you found it, but have you looked into old academies in that area (possible name changes since then).

Nice work on the Ring score. 75 sinkers is a lot of lead and work. Congrats!
