I’ve been working offshore and unable to hunt. On my way home I stopped at a North New England shoreside town to a spot. It was completely overgrown but scored this beauty by the seashore.

An quite knowledgeable friend pointed out that the hallmark is angled. He said that a Birmingham mintmark is typically sideways to the datemark and not angled. That said, we seem to both agree it’s mid to late 19th century.

And thought or insight is welcome, of course.

Good hunts

Steve

Nice find , what are the initials ? Any leads on connecting it to past property owners ? It’s a lot of work but that’s half the fun
