Aureus... afterthoughts on your FTA....your find is obviously beyond the general consensus here.

I am not sure if anyone else realizes the significance of your find.

When it comes to antiquities... two things are at play in determining the "value"... not just monetarily... but in general.

#1. Scarcity. (this size is RARE)
    #2. Condition. (stellar for dug)

That head is a 10 on a 10 scale for a dug head... IMO.

This is definitely a banner find.

PS... any way you can post measurements ?

Excellent finds Aureus. The axe head is a sweet save along with all the Silver coins. Nice going.

This head looks so good that if found round me I would definitely call it a re-pop... I say this because the condition is so good.
Now I know that stuff out of your ground looks way better than stuff out of my ground... so blah blah blah.

    Regardless...

Restore it... preserve it... and most of all... Display it.

If ever there was an axe head that was worthy of a banner... this is it.

    Again... Well done.
