Got out for an hour or so and didn't find much, but I did find a neat old trade token about the size of a silver dollar. It says C.T. EVANS EVERGREEN, VA on one side and GOOD FOR $1.00 IN TRADE on the other. It is pretty toasted, but a keeper none the less. I may try to clean it a bit with baking soda and a toothbrush.

Don.....

PS: [FONT=&quot]Today, one can go to the Evergreen General Store Inc. to buy groceries, things for the house and have a snack in the store's breakfast/lunch section in the rear of the store, formerly C.T. Evans store.

Nice old token. Is it brass or aluminum? I have had good success with lemon juice and a brass brush.

Thanks ..I am thinking aluminum.. Here is a pic of it cleaned up a bit. I don't think there is much hope in getting it any cleaner.

That looks great as it is. No further cleaning is required.
