Had a few nice hunts recently. I haven't been out the past two weeks though.

Working some old picnic groves long gone and overgrown i came away with a lc a two center barber qtr couple old tokens etc during a 3 hr hunt one of the days i was out.

Was a good hunt and was surprised because I've been over the area a good bit in the past but its trashy and the ctx was able to find some stuff prior machines may have missed.

Nothing too rare but enough to keep me going. I have some time off work over the next few months and plan on hunting pretty hard before the end of the year.

Im at 78 silvers yr to date. My goal was a 100. So gonna be tough but i got a shot i think. Hard finding silver but its out there.

Thanks for looking.

Lots of great finds there! The 2 Center looks nice. It’s amazing how much the woods and brush have cleared up in the last month, so I’m betting on you to hit the 100 mark. Congrats!

Thanks for the replies guys.

Yes, so hard to hunt an area out.

I've found a dozen of those kearney items in the past 20 plus yrs. Had no idea what they were. Thanks for the link and info.

Thanks Thad, I think I can do it.

Getting cold here quick though.

Good luck out there guys.

Nice variety Jeremy. You are averaging 7.8 silvers a month this year. You will have to have a couple above average months to meet your goal. But we are getting into prime digging time, so you have a good chance unless Old Man Winter says NO!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Yes, none of the rings were real. They were both fake.

Steve, thanks for the break down lol. I make mental notes in the field like I only need 22 more silvers in the next two months to do it.

It seems like a ton and it is. I found three more Saturday in a 2 hr hunt so I'm at 81. I have a good bit of vacation time coming up over the next few months.

As long as the weather holds and my sites continue to produce I think I can do it.

I've been really lucky usually finding two or three silvers per hunt. I've missed some days to that I could have gone out.

Certain days I'm just not up for hunting you know. I seem to hunt better when I'm fresher.

Be back soon with more to see.

Great hunt!

I would love to have a place, pounded or not, that I could go find great finds like those. Barbers, Indians, and older coins are hard to come by where I live.

Thank you Tenspeed.

I've been very lucky over the years to have stumbled onto some great sites.

I've spent a great deal of time over the years doing a lot of leg work to find these places.

At one point in time I had some amazing places to hunt. I remember my addiction to the hobby was so strong I would be out hunting on christmas in between family coming over etc.

I would walk in the door at 4 pm on thanksgiving with dirt still on my hands and just sit down to eat.

I still have to work pretty hard for my finds. But I am very lucky to have some sights even after 100's of hunts they still produce old quality finds.

Probably be that way for a long time. They have slowed down a lot. But it amazes me when I find a barber half or morgan dollar in a place I've hunted for 20 years.
