Made it out this weekend for a Sunday morning hunt in the park woods with a buddy. Found some cool relics, but this lunch hunt find is my best find over the last couple days.

Hard to miss this guy, I don’t think a bow hunter would release an arrow at such an odd deer.

Got a nice high tone signal with the 6” coil by an old stump, probably my biggest skeleton key so far.

Here is the handful.

The clasp has some pat dates on the back.

The larger flatbutton has the crown and London backmark.

And of course a spoon and some spoon frags.

Good luck out there!

Nice finds .... he is odd looking ... is he missing his rack on one side ? Couldn’t tell for sure cause trees , I have a few pictures of a white buck with just a few brown spots from my trail camera. It’s my grandparents farm and a lot of people hunt there but everybody knows “ you don’t shoot the white deer!!“ or grandmom will kick your ass lol.

That sure is a rare deer. Probably has been drinking too much Iron City Beer.

Looks like some nice finds. In Illinois it is illegal to shoot white or Albino deer. My brother had one living on his property for a while. They would see it every now and then, then it just disappeared.

Nice relics Thad.

But that albino deer pic gotta be the best find lol.

That is really cool to see. I know they are out there but really rare.

I've seen many deers out there but never an albino.

I even have had them at times almost walk right up to me.

Spooks you a bit when you got headphones on and you turn around and a deer is 5 yards away from you.

I got a bunch of pics on my phone with them right next to me.

Albino deer are seen regularly around Ligonier, PA. The albino gene is imbedded on the herd up there. But they say it is bad luck to shoot one. There was a large albino buck that had been spotted for a couple years near Ligonier. A guy finally shot him and his house burned down and he got sick and almost died.

white deer are thought of as "spirit animals" by many native American tribes --it is thought that to kill one is extreme bad luck --(basically you'll be cursed unless you were starving to death ) being albino they can not hide like a normal animal can --so its hard for them to survive to start with -- while I hunt --I personally would never shoot one myself

in some places albino deer are legally protected and its against the law to kill them....

Thanks for sharing the photo of the buck! White deer pretty rare here in Oregon. However, white elk are even rarer. I saw one in the middle of a herd of elk about 15 years ago near Tillamook, Oregon. I was about 150 yards away and driving, but it really showed up.

There was one here a few years ago that was out regularly grazing beside the road. I managed to get a photo and have it on a disc somewhere. When I was a kid, my brother caught an albino possum in a trap(not a trap to hurt it and we released it.) Pink eyes and pink nose makes them a true albino.
