Washington Inaugural and other need help

I was out yesterday and today. I went to two different sites. Both go back at least as far as the French and Indian War. There was a ton of iron in the ground, and lots of just plain junk. I dug enough aluminum to make a few cases of soda cans.

Anyway, I THINK this button may be one of the harder to get Washington Inaugurals. There isn't much left of it, but I can see the vertical lines of a heraldic shield on it. Any thoughts appreciated. It's too thin for a coin. Last pic is the rear.

Also a KG II and KG III, I can't read the dates.

Can anyone help on these two? The second one could possibly be French.

Any fluids on them will trash what's left. I'm not even sure the Andre's pencils will bring them back. Both sites were corn fields, and we all know how that goes.

Not with those lines. We did find a few of those, and US large cents as late as the 1830's. I didn't get any of the large cents.

It hurt so bad when I got home! I'm taking the unidentified whatzit to a notable coin dealer today. As hard as I can try I can't match it to any button, and it is the wrong size for a GW button. I should have noticed that first.

Ok, it's been figured out. It's a 1783 Georvius Triumpho copper. These were made right at end of the Revolutionary War. The coins were made in England. Even a "bad" example can cost a few bucks. This is the only one I have found and one of the few I have ever seen in person.

The shield lines seem to be in the correct location for a GWI.

Not a GW button but a nice find anyhow. Never even heard of a Georvius Triumpho until now!

It is in "A guide Book of United States Coins", aka the red book.

Noah D, yes it is in the blue book, and there are a few on ebay starting at about $200, of course those are better than mine!

That Georgivs Triumpho is a great find Smokey. Not only a crazy historic find but also quite rare.

On PCGS CoinFacts, Ron Guth says: "The 1783 "Georgivs Triumpho" Tokens circulated in Georgia and Virginia and saw later use in Jamaica and Florida. In recent years, one was found with a metal detector in South Carolina. The obverse was muled with the reverses of at least two different world coins (in the case of these "mules", the obverse appeared to be in a much later die state, showing extensive wear and erosion."

I've been to the big Whitman shows in Baltimore, lots of anything you can imagine there, but I never saw one of these! Thanks! Even if it is a ghost toastie! I wonder who else here has found one? I haven't been out to dig much this fall, and when I do go, it's generally to an old spot with no new houses within a couple hundred yards so tend to do ok.

It was found 38 miles north of the Virginia State Line!
