I was trying to get a decent pic of the small points my wife found on the shore of a Nor Cal reservoir. (A small obsidian point and what I believe is a broken scraper or knife.) I decided to place them atop this book cover and throw a Dateless Buff Nickel in for scale.
If it hadn't been for this post: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/c...3-not-holy-grail-buffalo-s-but-i-ll-take.html I wouldn't have thought twice about the nickel. But, something in the back of my mind kept bugging me so I went back and found this post by Former Teller.
Thanks FormerTeller for posting your find! Had you not, I would not have given this near slick Buff a second glance.
Someone gave me a few slick buffs and said they were basically "worthless." Now I gotta find the rest of them and see if there are any more from the small herd standing on a mound!
