Need some Help

So the next day I had a family outing and my buddy and his friend went back to the school yard and did much better.. pulling a Barber dime another Shield Nickle, few more IHP's and some tokens, but we don't know what this is can anyone help identifying this? Its about 3"X2".. Looks like it was gold plated to. I personally think its the coolest thing we pulled out of this place.

The back and the positioning of the subject makes it look like some kind of buckle!
