More interesting things from my last couple of hunts. One hunt was pathetic but yesterday was fun having found a new site, and I didn't think I was going to get anything worthy from it - and I sort of didn't, because the Capped bust Half Dime was basically a random find walking back to the site after checking the next field over. A first for me so that's cool. The Canada Militia with cannons is also a first so not a bad day at all. The wax seal "Chaste And Honorable" was found on the previous hunt and basically the only thing I got. Time is ticking on our season but we will dig as long as we can!

Those are all incredible finds! Nice job. The wax seal is amazing. That would be pretty neat to find a letter that had been sealed with that so long ago.

Very awesome finds IP, the Capped is really sharp. I like the wax seal, have you taken an impression yet?

About that button- like Relicific says, it may be NWMP related. I also read that the military used them, and there was some crossover into the NWMP. Do you know anything about it?

Yeah I've seen another found in NB. Looks like the context of the site is how to judge who wore it, so pretty unlikely there was any NWMP connection to my button. I've dug 5 or 6 of the crown type. Still something different so still cool.
