Hey everyone,

Just got back from a 4 hr hunt today. On Tuesday I hit a hot spot behind a old pool in the woods and recovered 6 silvers.

I decided to return today. I had it mostly cleaned out only recovering a v nickle in the area. However i continued to hunt and got a scrarchy 11/40 on the ctx.

After digging down about 8 to 10 8nches I see what looks like an old locket.

I pick it up and say to myself this is a real gold watch. Its heavy and the face is to dirty other than i can see the hands for the clock face.

Can anyone i.d it's style era or who manufactured it. Most items in this area are late 1800S early 1900s.

I've had a few nice hunts this week picking up 9 silver coins. Two out of the 4 hunts i got skunked on silver.

Just thought I'd share this item. Things like this dont cone up often.

Thanks

Jer

Sweet gold watch Jer! My guess a while back was that you would hit 100 silvers FTY by the end of Nov. What’s your current total? I’m only at 35, oh well. Congrats on your finds!

Beauty, pop the back, usually the back will be stamped 14k inside the cover...also should be the maker and serial number.. If you google them, it will tell you the year it was made...

Definitely need the info off the inside of the caseback and a photo of whats left of the movement. Looks rolled to me but the info in the caseback will tell all. The dial is as basic as it gets no counter sinking, which is why i think it would be unusual to see a ho hum dial in a solid watch. Nice digs!

A perfect example of what it takes to find good stuff. All the hours spent to clear out the junk, paid off by revealing a deep scratchy signal, that you might not have otherwise heard. That watch is a beauty, and you certainly earned the right to find it. Congratulations!

Now, I don't know much, but... if that's a watch, how do you wind it?!?

You are killin' it, Jeremy. Keep up the good work, my friend. I hope I'm able to get out once more before it gets too cold, but we'll see.

Niiiiiice, nothin’ like diggin’ gold. That is a solid week of hunting!!!!! I like the trash you removed as well, I always have 2-4 gallon buckets full, it makes great ballast in the snow. Great job brother!!

I don't see a way to wind it. Makes me wonder if it's actually a compass instead of a watch
