Four Hunts Produce MEGA CLAD, Wheats, Sterling, And Silvers
With the hunt season coming to a close in these parts I made the most of my time this past week, doing four hunts...….one hour after work on Wednesday at the local middle school, three hours at a soccer field on Thanksgiving morning, nearly three hours with Sue on Friday at a soccer field, and two hours on Saturday after work at an old football field. Totals were 186 coins...….22 pennies, including three wheats...1949, 1951, and 1958.....4 nickels, 47 clad dimes, 109 quarters, two Dollar coins, and two silver Roosevelt dimes. The clad totaled $34.37 Additionally, I dug a small bent sterling ring.

Nice hunk of change...Not bad at all!
8 Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?
9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ - Luke 15:8-9

Thanks Tommy...….the soccer fields and football field were the heavy hitters in this group. The middle school only gave up 13 coins. Nevertheless you're right that some schools can be loaded with coins and other things.

Now thats a lot of digging right there ! The silvers are nice, but I always like to pull the Cub Scouts Neckerchief slides. They look great in a display case.
