I was off of work today, so I took the detector out for a ride in the truck. We stopped at several empty lots, where the houses have been torn down, as well as a couple of public places.

I dug a lot of modern coins, and assorted other targets.

This target was deep and made a nice tone. It’s half dollar size, and has a reeded edge, however... it turned out to be an aluminum bicentennial token. Bazinga. Heartbreaker.

This looked good too, bigger than a quarter, and heavy... turned out to be a Mexican coin from 1970, bazinga again.

Please chime in if you can ID this little metal hand. Some red paint remains on it.

I never find anything old, but I believe that this is a colonial shoe buckle frame. There is a place on the back of the smaller piece, where the pin would have gone. Please chime in, if you know better.

When this clod of dirt popped out, I was glad to see a silver disc. I flicked the mud off of it, and sure enough, silver dime.

A half dozen wheaties, and a ‘39 dime were the best coins I could find.

This target made a sweet sound, and as soon as I saw it, I knew why.

Here is a pic of all of the goodies.

The heart flitters for a moment and then you know, what a let down but still very cool. two silvers to cap the day. hopefully that is a shoe buckle. I'm thrilled to find an old marble but you found the hand LOL.

That looks like a great hunt despite the bazinga count. I would have been so excited and let down to find that aluminum token. The reeded edge would make me 100% certain that I had found silver! I'd agree that it's a shoe buckle frame congrats on the finds!
