Found a heavy iron football shaped object along with the end of a hoe. The iron thing is about two pounds and I’m not sure exactly what it is, thought it might be a clothes iron. Anyone have any idea what it is?

I thought it might be a clothes iron trivet, but don't see any legs...

It’s about 5” at its longest and 3” at its widest and an inch thick.
