I went to an old park around my house where I started metal detecting and I was just going there to sharpen my skills again because I have a metal detector for a while so I was just planting silver dimes and adjusted my machine and I hit a barber dime and it is crusty. It was so crusty and dark I thought it was a penny and I rubbed it on my jeans and I saw the silver lining. “One Dime” a seated or a barber I got home and did the best I could and I saw where the 3 spikes on the headband shows right before the “OF” in United States of America. I’m damn proud to have it. A Barber Dime. I’ve hunted this place over 2000 times lol
She’s been through a lot. Should I put it in my tumbler?

Do you want it shiny and new or weathered? Electrolysis will give you the first one.

It’s always nice to find one of those no matter the condition. I’d put it in the tumbler. You’re not going to kill the value of that coin by doing so. JMO.

Nice silver Truth. I dont usually like to clean my silvers, but putting that one in a tumbler might just help it a little, and bring out a little detail. Can't hurt !
