I would say no cause its not a straight even line on the top along the shank whats it made of

I'm guess but I'd say it had a wooden handle or grip. Like a harmonica. Most times you just find the reeds. No idea as of the date.

If by 'old' you mean 'not new', then, yes, it is old.
How old is impossible to tell. I have found several similar blades, and I have lost one or two.

Can't say but it mostly has the right shape. I like the way the tang tapers down instead of being straight. Maybe someone started it and never finished.

Here's a blade I salvaged with a file and sandpaper. I made it a hidden tang since I'm no good at making knife scales. The wood is from the Locust tree with huge thorns.
