8.5 Inches long.
Forgot to mention both sides have an indentation at the thinner handle end. Looks like possibly it slid onto some sort of longer handle or something?

Thanks and thanks for all the responses. I love old Iron finds. Thankfully some detectors completely discriminate against all Iron so I can snatch those finds up haha.

Its definitly some lifting apparatus, the oval shaped holes are maybe uaed to drain some sort of liquid and leave the desired peice behind. My best guess. Now what were the lifting out of molten or hot substance. Haha thats literally a gueas. Goodwork!
