I just revisited this thread and saw that Groundshaker had i.d.'ed the cylinder from a revolver in your Ford hubcap pic.
There were some high-quality toy guns, cap- or otherwise, made in the 1950's; but I think what you have there might be from a real, small-caliber percussion revolver.

Meaning it's a better find than the Ford item.

If you ever happen to get any more pictures of the revolver cylinder, the gun people over in What Is It might be able to i.d. it, if you're interested.

I can feel for you.The last few farm yards I dug produced nothing but crap.The last parks I dug at were no better.I guess thats the way it goes.It makes scoring a good keeper that much sweeter when it happens.God Bless and HH..Panz

It really wasn't that long ago.
Couple years only....

I remember in the 4th and 5th grade using a fountain pen.
JEESE what a mess when one of those things lets loose in a pocket.

But they sure write nice.
I use a Parker with my company logo on it now.
wouldn't touch one of those bladder operated SOBs now for the world.
