Bronze coffin handle, post civil war dug yesterday. Strictly speaking this is backwards. The Gnostic handshake is right handed this is left handed. Right hands symbolize strength, left hands weakness and judgement. This is a very odd fellow.

Hehe. Odd fellow.
Edit... nevermind. I was thinking you were making a joke and that was the Odd Fellows symbol. But, no, their's is a hand with a heart in it.

Maybe something to do with Boy Scouts? Found a few references to the left handshake in their literature.
