I went back to my swimming home and got 3 unexpected surprises. I didn't think this place was old enough for what came out, but, I'm not complaining ๐Ÿ˜‰

No good jewelry today, but the coins more than made up for it. Running the Nox 800 in:

Park 1

Recovery 5 M

Manual GB 3

Iron bias F2 0

Modified 5 tones

Digging signals from 0-9 and 18-40

Sens 22

Quarter hit at 32

Half at 34

Dime 26

Thanks Tom,

Some coins look better with some dug patina. I dug this last January, I wish I would have left it the way I found it.

Thanks Tom,

Some coins look better with some dug patina. I dug this last January, I wish I would have left it the way I found it.

Never dug a silver dollar, so it looks really good either way to me.

At first I preferred clean coins, after a few years, I now prefer โ€œas foundโ€.

Best of luck to you sir!

This was dug from a fresh water beach in Texas that was exposed, it's been under water on and off for years. The dirt in NM does the same thing due to the alkaline in the soil.

That was my first in 30 years of digging. If I it another one, it's staying all natural.

Now you need to start working on those middle numbers and find the gold! If nothing else, you'll get rid of a lot of pull tabs from that swimming hole! :laughing7:

You mean like this :)

Dug all that trash and more and this was what was hiding in it. Only 4 pieces of gold so far.
